"Danika" Day 4

Today, most of our work was in the upstairs of the house - upstairs where the rooms are smaller, and it's hotter and more crowded. It's a nightmare to try to carry lights up the stairs, down the hallway and into the 15' x 15' (4.6 m x 4.6 m) room that we're shooting in.

We can't stash lights anywhere upstairs because the AD's won't let us, so everything has to be carried up and down the stairs constantly. My knees ache from climbing the stairs all day.

For some reason, it hurts more coming down than going up.

Everyone's getting tense, but luckily our department is still civil to each other. I started calling one of the guys "Cupcake", although now I can't remember why.

Today at lunch, we were all sitting on the gate of the truck, when the Director's Assistant tried to park the directors car (we're not supposed to park on the street - we're supposed to park at crew parking and take a van) bumped into a parked car. Hard. There was no damage to either car, but it was still funny.

The film got fogged (they bought a recan and they think it had been x rayed), so they had to reshoot an entire scene at the end of the day. Unfortunately, the takes they lost were the takes that the director really liked.

I can't take pictures because my digital camera died.
